About Weehawken
The Township of Weehawken is a diverse community with a rich history.
Home to beautiful parks and ball-fields, excellent schools and top-notch municipal services. Weehawken’s school systems provide
a progressive and comprehensive education to the children of this town. The system’s low student-teacher ratio is just one reason that Weehawken High School is amongst the top 12% of schools in the state of New Jersey based on test scores. Elementary studens in Weehawken attend Daniel Webster School & middle school age students attend Theodore Roosevelt Cchool. Weehawken is perched atop the Palisades on the Hudson River and offers magnificent views of the Manhattan skyline. With a population of 13,356 people and four constituent neighborhoods, Weehawken is the 158th largest community in New Jersey. Much of the housing stock in Weehawken was built prior to World War II, making it one of the older and more historic towns in the country.
